Nichols RVers, Here’s a Must Visit: Tioga County, NY

It’s still pretty chilly outside, but it’s never too early to think about where you want to head this spring and summer in your RV. So we are suggesting Tioga County, NY, also know as River Country. It’s not too far either!

Tioga Country is a quaint, small town place full of things to do. And if you like odd things to do, you should check out The Jail Bird Restaurant which was a real jail until 1997. The building is registered for being history as it was built in 1910.
At the restaurant you can dine in your own jail cell or at a table outside the cells.

You’ll want to check out the Hickories Park in Owego, NY for RVing and camping accommodations. This site is open year round, so if you’re headed out in the chilly spring weather they will be open. However, this park is on a first come, first serve basis and do not take any reservations. The park is located approximately a mile away from the village and boasts great boutiques and antique shops as well as a great mix of pubs and restaurants. Friendliness is everywhere in this village which the residents are quite proud of.

There are tons of farms in Tioga County that you should check out. Here are just a few:
