Events in New York this July

It already feels like summer here in New York, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with outdoor festivals. The Empire State is bustling with outdoor activities and events that are guaranteed to make your July adventures better than ever before. Hit the road this July and see what your state has to offer!

24th Annual New York State Blues Festival

Head on over to Syracuse for this free event. The 24th Annual New York State Blues Festival has been going strong for decades now, and it’s better than ever this year. Running from July 8 to July 9, the free festival runs daily from noon to 11pm, and features Butch Trucks (drummer for Allman Brothers), Sister Sparrow, Sonny Landreth, Brandon Santini, Toronzo Cannon, and lots more.

Buffalo Italian Heritage Festival

Head up to Buffalo if you’re Italian or just love Italian culture. From July 14 to July 17, you can take in the sights, sounds, food and culture that make the Italian-American experience so very special. Festival favorites include the best local entertainment, bocce tournament, Miss Italian Festival, Italian Idol Contest, cooking demonstrations, and more. Admission is free and the festival opens daily at 11am, running well into the night.

Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival

Head to Oak Hill to enjoy the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, running from July 14 to July 17. This 4-Day outdoor festival presents the best in bluegrass and acoustic music. Enjoy award-winning artists, workshops, dancing, family activities, camping, jam sessions, kids academy, emerging artist showcase, festive foods, artisan vendors, and thousands of music fans from around the world.
