1757 Battle on Snowshoes Reenactment – January 21
Taking place in Ticonderoga, this battle reenactment commemorates a clash between French forces and Rogers’ Rangers on January 21, 1757, during the French and Indian War. The British combatants wore snowshoes during the engagement. Rogers’ Rangers were ambushed by larger French and Native forces, but were spared due to wet gunpowder misfires. This allowed the British to stave off the French and withdraw. Come see a bit of history brought back alive for only $10.
