November Events in New York

At Jim’s RV we love RVing and we also love living in this part of the country. There are always things to do, even as the weather turns colder. Here is a list of November events in the area:

At the Tioga Downs Casino on Saturday, November 23, at 8 pm, join in on the “Quack Dynasty Look a Like Contest” and dress as your favorite Duck Dynasty star. Don’t forget to practice your duck call. First, second, and third place prizes are up for grabs.

Saturday, November 30, Bingham University in Vestal, New York, hosts the Holiday Arts and Craft Show. This is the 10th year and the cost for admission is $4. Come out and finish off your Christmas shopping, or maybe get it started!!

The Corning Senior Center has their Annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Thursday, November 21st beginning at 5:30 pm. This event includes activities for the children, food, a free toy, and Santa is there for children to have their pictures taken with the big guy.

Don’t miss out on the Corning’s Light Parade set for Saturday, November 30, beginning at 6:30 pm. Come see loads of floats with beautiful illuminated decorations. Bring the family and enjoy watching the floats and the children’s faces light up!

For something new and different, join in on the very first Chili Chocolate Challenge held from November 8 until November 11 in the Gaffer District in Corning. Taste the creations of the participants and vote for your favorite. Don’t leave the children at home because there will be activities for them as well. This event helps kick-off the Christmas season.
